Take full advantage of 2020 tax law revisions
Under the CARES Act, taxpayers who do not itemize their tax returns can claim a charitable deduction of up to $300 for donations made in 2020. So even if you claim a standard deduction of, for example, $13,700 on your tax returns but have made $300 in charitable gifts, you can increase your deduction amount to $14,000.
